Introducing Creative Writer and RTT Practitioner: Lisa Zoetewey
Call me Lisa.
My full name is Lisa Renee Zoetewey, but please, call me Lisa. I’m a blogger, poet, fiction and non-fiction writer in Holland, Michigan. I’m also a certified Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner.
My Passion: Writing
I’ve been passionate about writing since before I could read, when I composed stories as my teacher took dictation. As far as I was concerned as a kid, the best part of the school day was the time we spent writing. Although, I enjoyed reading and playing my violin too.
I was already planning my career as a writer in seventh grade. Things didn’t go exactly as planned—some health problems interrupted my career. But I never stopped dreaming.
For a while I thought I would be a creative writing professor when I grew up, which explains why I earned an MA in English and an MFA in creative writing. But for now, I’m just focusing on my creative writing, this blog, and my new practice as an RTT practitioner.
Career
Over the years, I’ve worked in retail, in county government, in academia, and for a non-profit. I’ve taught academic, creative, and professional writing; English literature; and world religions.
If I could do whatever I wanted to do in life, I would go back to school to get a doctorate in religious studies, become an ordained New Thought minister, and keep on writing. Although I’m excited about being an RTT Practitioner as well.
Writing this blog about self-help and spirituality is a step in the right direction.
Personal Interests
In my spare time, I cook vegetarian meals, crochet afghans, take long walks, write poetry, and read. I love poetry, self-help, spirituality, memoir, science fiction, and fantasy.
